Abacus Logistics Ltd, a well-established, family-run logistics company operating over 100 vehicles across the UK, is expanding with a new depot in the Ipswich area. We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to help lay the groundwork for our operations servicing the major container ports of Felixstowe, London, and Southampton.
This is a unique opportunity to be a key part of our growing presence in the region and play a central role in shaping the planning team as the depot becomes fully operational.

• Plan and route a fleet of company-owned and subcontractor vehicles to maximise profitability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations, including vehicle operations and transport legislation.
• Use a methodical, commercially-minded approach to plan Full Container Load (FCL) transport, ensuring optimal vehicle utilisation.
• Maintain excellent service levels to meet or exceed customer SLAs.
• Build and develop strong working relationships with drivers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Support the growth and structure of the new depot, contributing to long-term team development.
