Action Express is a courier service in Milton Keynes with more than 20 years’ experience offering express delivery. We are a delivery company working in partnership with APC Overnight and the Pallet Track network to deliver parcels and pallets throughout the UK. Our courier service extends throughout the local area including Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Great Linford, Bedford and throughout Buckinghamshire, Woughton, Fenny Stratford, Bradwell and Newport Pagnell.
We are looking for a dynamic Transport Planner to join our expanding business. As the Router you will be primarily responsible for effectively loading all vehicles within weight maximising vehicle fill rates and routing all orders, ensuring the optimal balance between delivery speed, accuracy, and quality v’s costs.

SKILLS

• Previous experience in haulage
• Knowledge of vehicle weights and loading requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Quick learner
• Attention to detail

• inbound and outbound scan compliance.
• Ensure that work is planned in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
• Ensure that drivers are given clear instructions regarding their duties.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded within safe loading limits by axel and overall weight using pallet scales as required.
• Ensure vehicle fill rate is maximised and the vehicles leave the yard on time every time.
• Key holder for opening the depot.
