Job Description We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Warrens team at our Rugby site. As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan. Working hours: Tuesday - Saturday NIGHTS 10 hour shifts to be worked between 18:00 and 06:00. Start and end times are able to be discussed at interview. Salary: £33,000 Per Annum. Key Duties of a Transport Planner: Work within the Transport team despatching and controlling the daily plan. Update and control time critical collections and deliveries with over 120 routes within 24 hours. Communicate with both warehouse and customer service regarding any delays. Reporting problems and dealing with issues that come up on shift. Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs. Proactively look for continuous improvements. Make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale. Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year. Qualifications Good geographical knowledge of the UK. Good knowledge of EU Driver hours and WTD. Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook. Experience of transport planning. Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment. Customer focus on delivery performance. Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results. Experience of using a TMS system. Experience in a retail FMCG environment preferred.
