JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team. this role is initially for 3 days per week and salary would be on a pro-rata basis, but will lead to a full time position for the right person. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimising transport operations and ensuring efficient movement of goods. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Transport Planner will work closely with the Director and Drivers
For the right person there will also be the opportunity to progress and become a transport manager with in the business and training and qualifications will be provided and support throughout the journey.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
• Be an integral part of a small team in the office and liaise with drivers
• High level of computer literacy and IT proficiency.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics is advantageous but not essential.
  The role is ever evolving and no two days are the same, some days can be challenging but we always manage to create a positive outlook.
