JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible planning transport routes, handling client accounts and manager driver activities while optimising logistics operations. also ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing service delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transport plans that meet the needs of the organisation and its clients.
  • handling up to 140 pallet network accounts
  • Analyse current transport operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage relationships with external transport providers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports on transport performance metrics and present findings to management.
  • Utilise IT systems and Excel for data analysis, reporting, and planning purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards in all transport activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
    Hours of work are, day shifts Monday to Friday, typically 10am-7pm
