Job description
We are looking for a new team member to assist with all aspects of transport management in our Birstall office. This will involve for example but not limited to:·
· Day to day scheduling of allocated drivers, tractor units and tankers
· Maintain good customer communication
· Holiday requests and booking, updating of rota for availability
· Memos and communications with drivers
· Accident / Incident / Near miss investigation, reporting and recording for presentation to management
· Back to work interviews with drivers
· Maintenance planning alongside Halcyon Workshop Manager
· Update Tachograph system including driver debrief for Tachographs
· Arrange refresher and driver training with the Driver Trainer
The job will suit an individual with experience in the transport industry, and holding a CPC would be an advantage but not a minimum requirement as we can offer training.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate good communication skills, great attention to detail, is IT literate, and has a flexible can do attitude.
You would be joining a small team working in our office in Birstall WF17 9TD. We have a friendly and supportive culture where all opinions are valued. We work hard, but every day is different and very rewarding.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
