Description

Howdens are looking for a Transport Planner to join our dedicated transport planning team at our manufacturing and distribution site in Howden, East Yorkshire. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring efficient deliveries from our distribution centres to depots across both domestic and international routes.

Responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics environment is desirable
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (e.g., SAP TM, TMS, Microlise, IDS, or WMS) and a good understanding of UK geography
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Competency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of transport legislation, including drivers’ hours regulations, would be beneficial
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and adjust to changing circumstances, particularly during peak periods
