The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Transport Planner to manage and optimise the daily operation of our 8-wheel tipper fleet. You will plan and schedule vehicle routes, oversee driver performance, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company standards. This role is critical in ensuring efficient resource allocation, excellent customer service, and cost-effective transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete and maintain accurate driver tickets, timesheets, and records in Weighsoft and Tachomaster.
  • Create, allocate, and upload tickets to drivers’ tablets for daily assignments.
  • Manage the wheel retorque log, ensuring timely compliance.
  • Plan and optimise cost-effective routes, ensuring compliance with WTD and EU Driving laws.
  • Monitor workloads, adjust assignments, and ensure all drivers are equipped with necessary in-cab technology.
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers and supervisors to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity for all transport activities.
  • Continuously review and improve operational processes for efficiency and service quality.
