  • Proven record in vehicle operations preferably in a logistics environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the Southern half of the UK prefable
  • Demonstrate relevant sectoral knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill.
  • Strong communication and numeracy skills.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work positively work in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge and a basic understanding of H&S practice and requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day to day operational running and scheduling of the vehicle fleet and drivers to ensure all movements are processed timely and accurately in line with company procedures and expectations.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the Irish and UK freight team with administration and operational day to day services to our customers.
  • Scheduling and booking of deliveries and collections with third parties and on our Transport Management system to meet the operational day to day delivery and collection needs of our customers in the most cost-efficient and effective manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients to ensure enquiries and requests are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • To liaise with Irish and UK network partners to ensure all import and export collections and deliveries are carried out in line with company procedures.
  • Responsible for driver compliance, Working time and Tachograph regulations. Monitor and report on company asset movements using our telematics fleet tracking system.
  • Communicate with maintenance providers to ensure all vehicles and equipment are correctly maintained in line with legal and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with sales and accounts departments to ensure that any customer issues or complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
  • To build and always maintain excellent relationship management with our customers by advising them as to the status of their orders and delivery of their goods.
  • To complete any reasonable other tasks, duties and projects that may arise.
  • To support the development & implementation of initiatives that will enhance the overall efficient operation of the business.
  • Assist sales team in pricing opportunities outside of normal services when required.
  • Work to meet customer KPI requirements
  • Provide “on call” service on a rota basis at weekends when required.
