We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our transport team in Bradford. If you are a self-motivated individual with good customer service skills and planning experience this is the perfect opportunity for your further development within this Industry.
This is a full time PAYE permanent contract and you will be employed directly by Surefreight International Limited.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a transport planner or in a similar role
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Team Player
  • Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
  • Good Geographical Knowledge

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation plans to optimise efficiency and minimise costs for Nationwide deliveries.
  • Liaising with our Liverpool site with one fleet mentality to ensuring maximum own fleet utilization.
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Liaise with drivers, over the phone and in person, including debrief at end of day/shift
  • Resolve any transportation issues or delays that may arise
  • Ensuring fleet compliance including PMI’s, services, MOT’s and pre-use checks/defect reporting is followed up.
  • Ensure full compliance of the operator’s licence with the Transport Manager
  • Carry out investigations as required for the Transport Manager
