If you are an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transport Service Technician to join a leading FMCG/Animal Feed manufacturing business. You will work Monday to Friday, 14.00 hours to 22.30 hours.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION /QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a LGV C+E License (class 1)
  • Have an excellent mechanical knowledge
  • Have knowledge of the DVSA guide to maintaining roadworthiness
  • Have knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office and Apps for data entry.
  • Must have a valid and up to date driver Certificate of professional competence (CPC)
  • Be able to work alone and as part of the wider Dugdale Nutrition team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health & safety standards.
  • Have good Timekeeping and housekeeping.
  • Self-motivated and ability to think on your feet.
  • Offer a excellent level of flexibility.
  • Be Familiar with the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) code of practice for making safe deliveries of animal feed on farms.

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE

As a Transport service technician, you are responsible for the safety checking, greasing and defect repairing of all vehicles within the transport fleet, you will also be responsible for taking vehicles to and from service agents as required, from time to time you may also be required to conduct deliveries to customers and help with loading of vehicles on site, you must also be aware of the rules and regulations for conducting safety inspections following the DVSA Guide to maintaining roadworthiness, you must also have a understanding of the rules and regulations involved with driver’s hours, working time directive rules and maintain the company’s high standards in regard to customer service.
