Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, permanent Transport Shift Manager to join us on our Night shift for our Arla (dairy) contract based in Hatfield. This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of going permanant. You’ll need some flexibility to work across our operating hours; on a 4 on 4 off, 12 hour day shift basis. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective running of our transport function.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out day-to-day driver planning, focusing on resource optimisation, using both XPO and agency colleagues
  • Collaborate with the XPO network to maximise service
  • Ensure that all drivers are compliant with EU and working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
  • Ensure Operational compliance is met at all times by seeing through servicing plans and managing defect control compliance
  • Conduct and lead RCA sessions as and when required
  • Lead your team to meeting and exceeding operational objectives, such as service provision, productivity and fuel KPIs
  • Lead, manage and engage your teamsSupport the Operations Manager and assist with customer facing forums where applicable
