Description

WILL YOU HELP US CHANGE THE WORLD?

Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.
As a purpose-led company, we’re committed to fast-track the shift to a carbon neutral world. We explore new technologies and invest in infrastructure to accommodate hydrogen, biomethane, CO2 and other molecules for a climate neutral future.
For the Infrastructure & Capacity Planning Department at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for an Energy Transport Study Engineer (m/f/x).
The Infrastructure & Capacity Planning (ICP) Department is responsible for determining Fluxys Belgium’s gas transmission capacity at global and local levels, for both natural gas and new gases, as well as carrying out network development studies.

YOURRESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be responsible for analysing data and managing prospective studies to develop scenarios for estimating the transport of molecules and network capacity
  • You will execute simulations of various possible scenarios, and analyse and interpret the results
  • You will prepare and give presentations on the results to various internal clients, sharing the results in a concise and informative way
  • You will maintain and improve the modelling tools used, in terms of both results and performance
  • You will monitor the network development plans of adjacent transmission system operators and take part in specific cross-border projects
  • You will support and participate in the projects of Fluxys affiliates
  • You will participate in international energy transition research projects on energy conversion processes
  • You will work with universities and take part in working groups with various TSOs across Europe
