Job Title: Transport Day Zero Executor / Transport Supervisor
Company: MTS Logistics
Location: Coalville
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 10:00 - 20:00
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000per annum
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great Family business that has a brilliant team in a busy transport office.
The role is to supervise the transport night shift operation, proactively communicating with customers and drivers to ensure service levels and key performance indicators are routinely maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • PC literate
  • Good communicator with excellent customer service
  • Organised/methodical
  • Ability to work within a deadline orientated Transport operation
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to use initiative/Problem solving skills
  • Must work well as part of a team
  • Ability to operate Qargo Planning Software or similar transport information systems would be advantageous
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Ensure day zero is executed without drama.
  • Monitor all drivers and report any delays/issues to customers and Senior Planner / Transport Operations Manager.
  • Send Pre Load information for Warehouse with sufficient notice for planning
  • Liase with Customer Success Team of any potential issues such as delays and breakdowns
  • To act as one of the key points of contact when dealing with all customers and pass on information as and when required to improve team communication and efficiencies.
  • Monitor and manage drivers’ daily activities to get ahead of plan and look for opportunities to improve day zero
  • Mitigate any issues due to breakdowns, driver no shows and make adjustments as needed.
  • Support PM Handover/Brief to ensure relevant communication is handed over.
  • Brief and debrief the drivers using the current briefing/debrief procedures
  • Monitor App Usage for internal apps and external customer Apps throughout the day
  • Actively seek opportunities to increase backload revenue and vehicle utilization
