ABOUT THE ROLE

Berkmann Wine Cellars is seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations at our West Thurrock depot. This position plays a key role in coordinating our delivery function, working closely with drivers, customer service teams, and our third-party logistics partner, London City Bond (LCB).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively manage driver scheduling and resource planning
• Serve as the main point of contact between drivers and internal teams
• Oversee vehicle checks and ensure fleet compliance and presentation
• Coordinate returns, failed deliveries, and emergency dispatches
• Conduct daily driver debriefs and monitor delivery performance
• Maintain accurate records on driver attendance, vehicle inspections, and delivery issues
• Support continuous process improvements and uphold health and safety standards
