As Transport Team Manager, you’ll work as part of a team responsible for managing the operations, compliance and most importantly… the people! You’ll really ‘get’ the value in recognising good work in the team and making sure they are motivated will be your priority! You’ll lead the team putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service!

Some of the key parts of the role:

  • Coaching the team to reach their full potential
  • Communicating openly and consistently, delivering key messages to the team at the right time
  • Managing recruitment, absence, performance conduct safety and service.
  • Responsible for managing commercial vehicles, cages and pallets
  • PPE, vehicle checks CV servicing MOT’s, VOR’s, temperature checks, near misses to name a few!
  • Allocating work considering individual/team capability and legal driving hours to achieve targets
  • Carrying out good quality investigations
  • And no matter what you’re doing, you’ll always be promoting and managing all safety
  • Class 2 license Desirable
