An opportunity at Maxim Logistics has arisen for a Transport Traffic Clerks. Based at our Head Office in Corby, you will be part of an established Traffic Office Team at the UK’s leading food ingredient logistics service provider.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Working in a fast-paced Transport Office.
  • Good knowledge of WTD and Tachograph legislation.
  • PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • A full Cat B driving licence is required.
Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT FOR TRANSPORT TRAFFIC CLERK

The Transport Traffic Clerk acts as the liaison between transport planning, the warehouse and our drivers, specifically coordinating the local shunters. You will organise the loading and checking of vehicles and trailers and take a very active role in the day-to-day transport operation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Contact with drivers, including Pre & Debriefing drivers at the start and end of shifts.
  • Plan and manage shunters to service local customers and trailer movements between warehouses.
  • Plan and prioritise vehicle and trailer loading through liaison with the warehouse, updating schedules and ensuring that time critical loads are ready on time.
  • Manage delivery paperwork and routine reporting.
  • Support the Maxim fleet function, ensuring that mechanical defects and service requirements are dealt with fully.
  • Managing and liaising with drivers to meet the customers’ expectations.
  • Ensure accurate handover information is passed on, assist in managing issues as they arise and escalating issues where necessary.
