JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. Commodities transported include grain, compost and fertilizers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid commercial driver’s license is required.
  • Experience in freight transportation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Agricultural experience as asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Operate commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs when needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
