Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Afternoon Transportation Administrator to join our team in Edmonton. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating afternoon transportation operations and ensuring timely, efficient, and safe delivery services. You’ll be the go-to contact for drivers and clients, playing a vital part in maintaining service quality and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a transportation, logistics, or dispatch environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in using transportation and routing systems/software.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling is an asset.

• Provide prompt and professional customer service to drivers and client representatives.
• Resolve delivery, inventory, equipment, employee, and customer issues as they arise.
• Plan, sequence, and adjust daily routing activities to ensure optimal performance.
• Schedule repairs and preventive maintenance for transportation equipment.
• Prepare manifests and delivery trip logs; relay any routing changes for loading accuracy.
• Ensure emergency orders are dispatched and delivered within expected timeframes.
• Monitor Web TM to confirm all delivery stops are completed efficiently.
• Process all required paperwork, logs, and databases; flag discrepancies.
• Support Logistics Supervisor/Manager with quality control tasks, including payroll, timecards, billing, and incident reporting.
• Allocate drivers based on daily workload using dispatch systems.
• Identify and suggest opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
