Description

The Transportation and Bus Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the company’s transportation and bus services. This includes overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of routes, managing the fleet, ensuring safety and compliance, and leading a team of drivers and staff. The role ensures that transportation services are efficient, cost-effective, and meet customer and organizational needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation or bus operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and fleet management practices.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost management, and resource optimization.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks or competing priorities.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with transportation management software (TMS) or fleet management systems.
