Description Ready to lead the front lines of major infrastructure projects? We’re hiring a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS) to drive quality, safety, and progress on PennDOT highway and bridge construction projects across District 3. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee inspection teams, solve construction challenges, and play a critical part in delivering safe, high-quality transportation systems. Key Responsibilities Supervise construction inspection teams on highway and bridge projects Perform and oversee field inspections for PennDOT compliance (plans, specs, standards) Prepare inspection reports, documentation, and photo records Identify construction issues, deviations, and corrective actions Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers Provide technical guidance and resolve field challenges Monitor construction safety compliance and report hazards Support project progress, scheduling, and quality control efforts Attend meetings and provide inspection updates and status reports Requirements NICET III – Highway Construction or B.S. Civil Engineering (or related) with 5+ years of construction inspection / construction management experience Experience with PennDOT projects, standards, and specifications Supervisory experience leading inspection staff or field teams Strong knowledge of QA/QC, highway construction, and bridge construction Certifications are a plus or willingness to obtain: ACI Field Testing Technician, NICET Highway Construction, PennDOT Concrete, NECEPT Asphalt Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Ability to safely access and navigate active construction sites Capable of walking on uneven terrain Work environments may include office and field settings, with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and weather conditions Fisher Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LI-DNP
