EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

  • Ability to work in our Cabra Figa office a minimum of 3x’s a week;
  • 5-10 years of working experience, of which 3+ in logistics in international transportation;
  • Experience with small parcel industry/retail ecommerce is preferred;
  • Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking;
  • Experience in establishing and managing relationships with carriers and service providers;
  • Team management experience;
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills;
  • Very strong analytical skills;
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets or similar tools including formulas;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills;
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment;
  • Comfortable working in an evolving and dynamic environment;
  • Ability to laugh at yourself and at the small day to day things;
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English;
  • Good level of spoken and written Portuguese is preferred; and
  • Bonus Points: working with an ERP such as Sage or Netsuite.
Responsibilities
  • Leading and supervising a team responsible for all of the following activities:
  • Analyze and provide the best solution for shipping and transportation in line with business needs, minimizing costs and drive efficiencies;
  • Ensure compliance, documentation regarding all aspects of customs needs for the markets where Kencko is present;
  • Ensure all the necessary documentation and information needed for transportation is issued correctly and in a timely manner;
  • Monitor and resolve shipping and transportation related issues;
  • Promote clear internal communication, internal and external, and offer visibility over all transportation related activities;
  • Create and maintain business relationships with service providers;
  • Analyze data and KPIs to track transportation status and carrier performance in different markets;
  • Work closely with the Stock team to ensure the proper flow of goods between our central warehouse and the fulfillment centers;
  • Assist in invoice approval and reconciliation and budget forecasting;
  • Train and support all new employees and temporary staff in your department. This includes sharing and requesting resources as needed;
  • Embody and promote a healthy working culture that is true to Kencko’s values, fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration; and
  • Ensure all processes are properly documented at our collaborative workspace (Notion).
