Position Summary The Transportation Driver is responsible for safely transporting members to and from the Day and Employment Program. Drivers provide reliable, courteous transportation while ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of all members. Schedule This is a part-time, split-shift position. Drivers work morning hours to transport members from their homes to the program and afternoon hours to return members home at the end of the day. Essential Responsibilities Safely transport members to and from the Day and Employment Program. Assist members with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed. Ensure all passengers are properly secured before transport. Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and fueled vehicle. Follow all traffic laws, agency policies, and DDD transportation requirements. Maintain transportation logs and required documentation. Treat members, families, and coworkers with professionalism, respect, and compassion. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to meet agency insurance requirements for driving company vehicles. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to lift, assist, and safely support individuals as needed. Required Certifications and Clearances Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required Arizona DDD and agency requirements, including: Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (or eligibility to obtain one). State-required background checks. CPR and First Aid certification (current or obtained within the required timeframe). Article 9 certification. Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) Prevention training. Any additional DDD-required training and certifications required for the position. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Previous experience driving passenger vans or similar vehicles. Strong communication, dependability, and customer service skills. Responsibilities
