Transportation Engineer 5 (TE5), District Construction Engineer, PN 20050932 What You Will Do: (Includes but not limited to) District Construction Engineer will assist administrator in overseeing highway construction projects, inspections, & testing functions. -Directs & administers all district construction activities. -Directs preparation of highly technical engineering reports (e.g., manuals within construction) & develops long range plans for Construction to address issues having future impact on department. -Represents department on various external committees; serves on internal task forces to provide expertise in Construction; meets with consultants, contractors, & government officials to explain programs & coordinate projects.
