By joining our Engineering Support Branch, Structures Section as a Transportation Engineer Supervisor in Jefferson County, you will have the opportunity to oversee the activities of professional and technical personnel in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of bridges, structures or facilities.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master’s degree in engineering will substitute for one year of the required experience. Graduate work in engineering beyond a master’s degree will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver’s license prior to employment in this job classification. Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee’s initial six month probationary period. Engineering decisions recommended by individuals without a Kentucky Professional Engineering License must be approved by a KRS Chapter 322 Licensed Professional Engineer until licensure is obtained.
