Overview MSA Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Dubuque or Bettendorf, IA office for Summer 2026. This internship provides hands-on exposure to a variety of transportation projects across Iowa and will offer mainly field observation opportunities. Responsibilities Responsibilities Assist with design and analysis for transportation engineering projects Support preparation of plans, specifications, and technical documentation Perform data analysis and calculations using engineering software tools Collaborate with project teams on tasks related to roadway and transportation improvements Participate in potential field work assignments as project needs dictate Qualifications Required Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field); transportation emphasis preferred Valid driver’s license Previous related engineering intern or co-op experience Prior experience in the transportation field Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Authorization to work in the United States for any employer (MSA will not provide sponsorship for this position. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong interest in transportation engineering within a consulting environment Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to impactful infrastructure projects The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22/hr to $25/hr commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
