Role Description We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Technologist to join their team. Arcadis provides a broad range of transportation-related services; however, our team focuses on Transportation Planning and road and highway design. In this role you will work on a variety of projects with a dynamic and growing team. You will be a key member of a focused and dedicated team. The group provides preliminary design services, detailed design services, preparation of tender documents, assistance with procurement and tender evaluation, contract administration, engineering services during construction and post construction services for civil work. The projects are for both private and public clients in various jurisdictions. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods. Role accountabilities: Assisting engineering staff with the following: Provide design and AutoCAD civil 3D support for transportation engineering projects Conducting CAD drafting and design Preparation of submission packages. Technical research involving various roadway design manuals. Aid in coordination between other engineering disciplines. Qualifications & Experience: Candidates must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate from a Civil Engineering program with a focus in transportation engineering. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings is an asset. Experience with the following software packages is an asset: Office 365 Applications (Excel, Word), Revu Bluebeam. Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is an asset. The salary range for this position is $30-34 per hour. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
