Description
Overview In recent years, Import & Export (I&E) has become a critical driver of APAC business growth. In 2025, the I&E growth rate reached approximately 50%, and projections for the coming years remain in double digits, signaling sustained expansion. This rapid growth creates new demands for advanced I&E service capabilities within GCC, beyond basic documentation. Currently, ChCC has three headcounts dedicated to China I&E, primarily focused on documentation processes. However, the evolving business landscape requires strategic and operational capabilities, including forecast management, foreign trade order management, new product customs compliance, HS code governance, CIQ process oversight, and KPI reporting across multiple markets. These responsibilities are essential to support business continuity, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency in cross-border operations. To meet these demands, we propose adding one new headcount in 2026. Instead of placing this role in an OU market, we will centralize it in ChCC to leverage scale, standardization, and governance. This role will build new import & export capabilities, drive service penetration, and enable business growth through robust process management and stakeholder collaboration. It will also lead cross-functional coordination with planning, logistics, and global hubs, ensuring alignment with global next chapter targets. Responsibilities 1. China Export- Forecast to Order (China) Split forecasts for co-manufacturing planning and supply confirmation. Receive orders from import markets and coordinate with planning on production schedules. Collaborate cross-functionally on raw material/packaging material negotiations. Provide feedback to import markets on order status when required. 2. China Export-Shipment Management (China) Coordinate with forwarders based on production schedules and import market requests. Liaise with DSV and Hub for ocean freight arrangements. Update import markets on shipment status as needed. Manage CIQ process, including COA documents, export documentation, declarations, and Form E. Monitor inland costs and address customs inquiries or inspections. Ensure accurate HS codes and descriptions in the declaration system; handle special cases during shipment. 3. KPI Reporting (APAC & Asia Foods) Conduct weekly OTIF analysis (end-to-end: Source, Transit, Destination Customs, PGR). Perform weekly Import/Export and Logistics KPI analysis. Prepare OFR reports for Asia Foods. 4. ICF Export Management (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia) Prepare S&OP templates for VN and TH (DKSH) for demand/sales planning input. Submit 12-month S&OP for VN and TH to APAC SC Hub and upload forecasts in ISCP. Create tentative MPS for exported finished goods for supply planners (12-month horizon). Prepare pre-read materials for supply confirmation cycles. Participate in supply confirmation meetings with APAC SC Hub. Confirm MPS and shipment plans for exported finished goods for the next 2 months per market. Update LD&T MOR KPIs. 5. Leadership (Global Capability & Service Center) Lead and manage the transportation, import, and export team within CHCC. Qualifications 1. Language Proficiency Fluent in English (written and spoken) for cross-border communication and documentation. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with global stakeholders. 2. Communication & Stakeholder Management Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal teams (Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics) and external partners (forwarders, hubs, import markets). Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different regions and time zones. Skilled in preparing and presenting reports, updates, and pre-read materials for meetings. 3. Import & Export Expertise is preferred In-depth knowledge of international trade processes, including CIQ procedures, customs declaration, HS codes, and compliance with GCS/SOX controls. Familiarity with ocean freight arrangements, inland cost monitoring, and handling special cases during shipment. Understanding of S&OP, MPS, and supply confirmation cycles. 4. Analytical & Reporting Skills Proficiency in KPI analysis (OTIF, I/E KPI, Logistics KPI) and ability to interpret data for performance improvement. Strong attention to detail for monitoring costs, shipment status, and compliance documentation. 5. Team Leadership & Management Proven experience in leading and managing transportation, import, and export teams. Ability to coach and develop team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 6. Technical & System Skills Competence in supply chain planning systems (e.g., ISCP) and reporting tools. 7. Problem-Solving & Adaptability Ability to handle complex, cross-functional issues and resolve challenges under tight timelines. Comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-market environment with changing priorities.
