Transportation Management Services Analyst
Location – This role is eligible to be performed remotely, however, if you reside within 100 miles of Organic Valley offices in WI, you will be expected to collaborate onsite in a hybrid fashion for 4-8 days per month. If you reside outside of 100 miles, you will travel in 4 times/year for intentional collaboration and connection.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics within a business-to-business environment preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with advanced reporting and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain systems such as TMS, WMS, and SAP.
  • Ability to provide accurate and relevant data of service to internal and external customers while safeguarding the cooperative.
  • Experience leading cross-departmental projects and motivating individuals in other departments and outside organizations without direct authority.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior management.
  • Must have initiative and ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Superior organization, attention to detail, analytic, and problem-solving skills required.
  • High capacity for stress in a fast-paced service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work successfully as an individual, as well as in a team environment and able to build relationships across multiple departments.

    Base salary wage range: $64,730 - $83,470 per year
    This salary wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary wage range and hiring at the maximum of the salary wage range is not typical.
Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The TMS Analyst is responsible for providing IT/system application oversight, finance/cost and rate analytics, using continuous improvement methodology for tracking trends in logistics performance and recommending executable initiatives that lead to financial improvement. This position supports the entire TMS/Logistics, Hauling, Organic Logistics subsidiary and network distribution teams with all aspects of information management, system application, and process-based decisions. The TMS Analyst role will also require a great deal of problem solving, analytical skills, IT/system applications, finance and self-regulated work and regular communications across multiple departments within the Internal Operations and Logistics teams. Success of this role is dependent on providing data, analytics and technology solutions that drive efficiencies and continuous improvement throughout the respective areas of TMS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and present Monthly Operating Results (MOR) analytics and slide decks for the logistics team.
  • Lead the recommendation, planning, and oversight of logistics systems application upgrades – including TMS, WMS, and Freight Visibility System – to ensure alignment with the overall logistics strategy.
  • Total landed cost analysis internal to logistics.
  • Organic Logistics price/rate analysis.
  • Creation, maintenance and oversight of processes and structure that regulate and identify Organic Logistics customer freight costs and pricing structures.
  • Monitors root cause analysis of logistics fees and deductions. Creates processes and establishes targets to mitigate, communicate internally, and/or bill back the appropriate party.
  • Facilitates internal department collaboration for Freight Overs/Shorts/Damages, Freight Claims, Customer Freight Deductions, and Freight Visibility System Administration.
  • Represents finance and systems in logistics strategy and tactical planning.
  • Logistics liaison to the Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology departments.
  • Tracking and analysis of order exception data for the logistics departments, including late add-ons, cancellations, etc. at various stages of logistics planning.
  • Assist the Director of TMS with creation of data for cooperative projects.
  • Assist and liaise projects within the logistics department.
  • Initiate and lead the development of workflows and processes in collaboration with other operational departments, logistics teams, and Organic Logistics customers as needed.
  • Prepares KPI reports, financial variance reports, and industry benchmark reports for management analysis and makes recommendations based on those reports.
  • Facilitates new processes, projects and efficiency studies related to CROPP’s logistics network in collaboration with logistics leaders.
  • Tracking and analysis of operational metrics provided by other departments.
  • Develop and document work instructions and operational processes.
  • Subject matter expertise with TMS, WMS, SAP and other supply chain software tools.
  • Creates and distributes internal communications including logistics market and capacity outlook letters and consignee specific notifications to other CROPP departments including deduction, detention, and OS&D opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of carriers, plants, warehouses, consignees, and Organic Logistics clients across the logistics network.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal operational departments, their processes, procedures, key stakeholders, responsibilities and how those relate cohesively to the Logistics Departments.
