REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a professional logistics environment.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates a practical, proactive, results-focused approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business awareness with the ability to work in a complex, dynamic and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Management Supervisor to lead our Transport planning team. The Transportation Management Supervisor plays an important role in the European logistics organization, coordinating the Transport planning department (4 FTE) in Kerkrade, to fulfill our customer needs. Reporting to the European Logistics Manager, the Transportation Management Supervisor will focus on providing a profitable, reliable, and timely service to our customers (internal and external). The ideal candidate will have project management experience, supervisory skills and a strong background in transportation. In this role you will be involved in logistics engineering tasks, as well as supervision the Transport planning department. It requires a hands-on approach and will support the European Logistics Manager in optimizing our logistics processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transportation Planning: Develop and implement transportation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in logistics projects, ensuring they are completed on time and successfully.
  • Supervision: Oversee and coach a transport planning team of 4FTE, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance logistics processes. Follow-up on quality notifications, conduct Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  • Reporting: Monitoring performance and results, keep track of KPI’s. Prepare and present reports (metrics) on logistics performance to (senior) management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments globally to coordinate logistics activities and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
