As a member of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort team, you will meet and engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer and help them experience our world-class amenities such as the state-of-the-art Wild Bear Falls water park. Job Description Manages the organizations operation and maintenance of motor vehicles for all sites. Oversees the day-to-day activities of the transportation & golf cart staff, vehicle fleet, and equipment including the maintenance of vehicles as well as taking direction from the department head. Also oversees the internal/external guest transportation experience. As Transportation Manager, you will: Oversee the overall operation and budget while spot checking the operation Ensure a smooth Transportation Experience for the guests, tours and team members and handle guest related issues Coordinate and schedule the Support Staff (approximately 30+ team members) and their daily duties Interact between departments Handle situations in the department, including accidents, inclement weather and the guest transportation experience concerns Process the hiring, advising, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members Ensure adequate availability and cleanliness of shuttle/van/golf carts at all time Respond to the transportation needs and requests of the Sales and Marketing departments Respond to Resort pick up requests upon completion of the guest's tour Respond to accidents and follow established policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment Accountable for being completely aware of the status of all shuttle/van/golf carts are at any time along with knowing how many of each are available for use Dispatch shuttle/van/golf carts in a timely manner to various locations in an expeditious manner to ensure the best customer Communicate with drivers in the field while being compliant with Department of Transportation rules and regulations Communicate to drivers of any traffic issues such as road closures, lane closures & alternate routes to use etc Interact immediately with guests and various departments such as Sales, Marketing, to resolve shuttle/van/golf cart issues and/or problems Train employees; plan, assign and direct work Generate reports on an as needed basis Maintain and coordinate all service requests and service records Maintain driver logs and coordinate with Risk Management driver authorization To excel in this role, you must embody our core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic. Qualifications State Issued Driver’s License with an F Endorsement (Passenger Endorsement) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years or more of leadership experience, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States Additional Information Why Westgate?
