Secure Transport is a proud sister company of Silver Star Protection Group, a licensed security agency based in Illinois What We Are Seeking We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support the smooth and efficient functioning of our daily operations. In this role, you will oversee key operational processes, coordinate resources, and serve as a point of communication across departments to ensure business objectives are met. A central part of this position involves managing scheduling responsibilities, particularly related to transportation activities. The operations coordinator will plan and organize schedules by coordinating with drivers, carriers, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries, optimize routes and costs, and maintain compliance with transportation regulations. This role also requires problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve scheduling or delivery issues as they arise. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and brings excellent communication and organizational skills to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities · Communicate with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to confirm schedules and special requirements. · Monitor and track shipments during transit to proactively address any delays or issues. · Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, routes, and other pertinent data. · Utilize scheduling software and tools for efficient route planning and resource allocation · Collaborate with the team to optimize routes and reduce operational costs. · Coordinate and schedule transportation logistics for shipments to ensure delivery time. · Assist in the analysis of transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement. · Prepare reports on transportation schedules and performance for management review. · Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. · Assist with the preparation of state and local compliance filings, inspections, and license renewals · Support the creation and continuous improvement of SOPs related to compliance · Monitor OT · License renewals for employees · Assist in IDES, WC documentation with HR · Assist with billing · Once familiar with the operation, identify and implement process improvement with a holistic, collaborative approach · Any other duties as provided by the reporting manager or company executives. Requirements · 2+ years of experience in transportation coordination or logistics scheduling. · Database and systems optimization or improvement a plus · Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. · Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). · Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. · High level of accuracy in managing schedules and shipment details. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected changes Secure Transport LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
