JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our transportation operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient movement of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics, and the ability to optimize transportation processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-5 years of progressive experience in transportation or logistics operations, preferably in high-volume environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing dispatch, fleet, or logistics teams.
  • Strong knowledge of LTL/FTL operations, cross-border logistics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in TMS platforms, ELD systems, and GPS/telematics tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and make quick, data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS & TOOLS

  • Experience with Loadlink, Fleet Manager, Samsara, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with freight cost structures, fuel surcharges, and margin management.
  • Proficient in Excel and operational reporting dashboards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily logistics and transportation functions including dispatch, trip planning, load coordination, and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate fleet activity across terminals and yards to maximize efficiency and asset utilization.
  • Resolve real-time challenges such as shipment delays, equipment issues, or urgent customer escalations.
