Transportation Operations Manager, Mississauga (On-Site)
We’re seeking an experienced transportation professional to take ownership of an asset-based fleet and driver operations. You’ll oversee a team of operations/coordination employees and vehicles, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused service while driving continuous improvement across the network.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead daily transportation operations: scheduling, dispatch, route optimization, and driver management across multiple Ontario-based locations.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of a company-owned fleet, including acquisitions, maintenance, inspections, insurance, and compliance.
  • Build and lead a team of drivers and transportation staff; recruiting, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Implement and monitor safety programs, driver logs, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams (warehouse, customer service) and external logistics providers/3PLs to deliver seamless service.
  • Oversee transportation budgets, control costs, and manage carrier/partner contracts.
  • Leverage fleet technology systems (e.g., GPS, route optimization, compliance tracking) to improve safety, efficiency, and service.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning including network design, fleet models, and process improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation or fleet operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, compliance, and safety standards
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and vendor/carrier negotiations
  • Tech-savvy with exposure to fleet management systems and performance reporting tools
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
