Description
A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Senior Transportation Project Engineer for their Seattle-area team! Responsibilities: Prepare roadway/civil project designs [roadway, trail, sidewalk, erosion control, storm drainage systems (including natural drainage practices), water transmission systems, sewers, earthwork, ADA ramps, pavement overlays, traffic signal systems, illumination, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), channelization, signing, traffic control and maintenance of traffic] Review construction plans, design calculations, and specifications Coordinate projects with clients, utility companies, and government agencies Prepare project plans, specifications, report, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates Work closely with other disciplines, other team members, and professionals Mentor/train junior staff Prepare plans/roadway modeling using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Maintain records, prepare reports/correspondence and other administrative duties as needed Assist with business development Requirements: A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent 5+ years of relevant engineering and project management experience PE License Knowledge of the following engineering references/resources: o Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Standard Specifications for Roads, Bridge, and Municipal Construction o WSDOT Design Manual and Standard Plans o American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) design standards o Federal Highway Administration Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) o Transportation Research Board Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) o Federal Guidelines for ADA Design Experience in developing transportation engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project Proficient in BlueBeam Revu Salary is commensurate with experience.
