TRANSPORTATION ROUTE COORDINATOR

Job Title: Transportation Route Coordinator

Location: Remote (Work from Home)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Transportation Route Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing the daily transportation of students to and from school. The coordinator is the main contact for drivers and parents, and serves as a key support resource for van drivers, school staff, and leadership. This position ensures the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of transportation operations by maintaining routing platforms and responding to day-of transportation issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Previous experience in transportation routing, scheduling, or dispatching is preferred but not required.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. A college degree in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Computer Skills:
  • Must be comfortable with technology and become proficient with transportation software for planning routes and tracking vehicles, such as Azuga within 30 days of employment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, is required.
  • Strong skills for entering data and keeping records

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good at helping and communicating with customers.
  • Able to stay calm and think clearly during stressful or emergency situations.
  • Very organized and pays close attention to details.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to shifting operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
