Job Description As the Transportation Safety and Compliance Coordinator, you will support all administrative functions of the Transportation Safety & Compliance Department. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional dedicated to maintaining safety and compliance standards. What you’re responsible for: Ensure compliance with road safety and compliance regulations across Canada and the US for drivers, vehicles and transportation. Manage follow-ups related to enforcement actions and legislative non-compliance. Track Hours of Service and pre-trip inspections to maintain compliance with Canadian and U.S. legislation. Monitor completion of required training, both online and in-vehicle. Track and update records of active drivers and equipment availability, including trucks, tractors, and trailers. Track and update vehicle licensing (Ontario Commercial Licensing) Analyze and report on road and property damage accidents, as well as violations, complaints, and other incidents. Monitor and review Electronic Logging Device (ELDs) compliance and accuracy; recommend corrective actions recommendations. Conduct transportation compliance audits of required documentation, policies and files. Track and maintain driver qualifications, including licenses, medical assessments, and equipment certifications. Prepare routine reports on metrics such as driver incidents, roadside inspections, driver utilization, and vehicle utilization. Qualifications To join our team: You have knowledge of federal and provincial legislation and regulations in both Canada and the U.S. You have experience with CVOR, NSC, and DOT compliance. You have previous experience with Hazmat (TDG/WHMIS/CFA certification). You have experience with size and weight compliance measures in both Canada and the U.S. You have a current or previous Class AZ or DZ licence (an asset). You have experience with the operation of Roll-off, Lugger, and End-Dump transportation equipment (an asset). You have strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other tracking programs. You have superior organizational skills. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are able to travel within both Canada and the U.S. Additional Information What we offer!
