We are seeking a new member to add to our Warehouse team. Our 500,000 square foot newly renovated warehouse is located in Marion, South Carolina. Are you ready to be a part of something amazing? Position Overview The Transportation Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driver safety, and operational accountability across the transportation fleet. This role actively monitors Hours of Service (HOS), dash cam footage, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting while partnering with management and maintenance teams to reduce risk, improve safety performance, and maintain compliance with DOT and company standards. Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring · Review Hours of Service (HOS) daily through JJ Keller to ensure compliance and identify potential violations. · Monitor and audit ELD logs, including collecting and reviewing paper logs when ELD systems are not functioning. · Track and document compliance issues and escalate violations to management as needed. Driver Safety Oversight · Review dash cam footage through JJ Keller, focusing on safety-related behaviors such as: o Seatbelt usage o Cell phone use o Distracted driving · Prepare and submit reports of safety violations to Transportation Management and HR. · Assign and track completion of driver safety training videos. · Coordinate and support bi-weekly or monthly driver safety meetings. Vehicle & Equipment Safety · Review and track Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) for tractors and chassis. · Coordinate with Maintenance and Shop Management to: o Resolve reported safety issues o Track repair status and completion timelines · Maintain a shared repair-tracking spreadsheet accessible to leadership for real-time visibility. Incident & Accident Management · Assist with accident and incident reporting, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up. · Collaborate with Transportation Management and HR during investigations and corrective actions. Maintenance & Cost Tracking · Track repair activity and status through shared reporting tools. · Monitor and track shop spend by date, maintaining transparency and cost control through shared spreadsheets.
