Requirements Summary Objective: This is a PRN (On-Call) position. The Transportation Specialist is responsible for greeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and appropriate modes of transportation. Additional duties may include moving equipment and/or delivering packages and mail between locations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas as requested. Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers. Greet and assist patients throughout the clinic and other designated locations. Collect and deliver orders, requisitions, equipment, supplies, and other correspondence to appropriate destinations. Supervisory Responsibility: Reports to Operational Manager or designee No direct reports Working Conditions and Environmental/Physical Demands: Work involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs Light work, including moving objects up to 50 pounds Frequent communication with others to exchange information Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers Operation of a motor vehicle No adverse environmental conditions expected Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a PRN (On-Call) position. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on operational needs. Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required. Travel: 100% travel between locations is required Qualifications: Valid, active, and unencumbered Florida Class C Driver’s License At least one year of related experience preferred Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the area in which transportation will be provided Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
