Job Description The role of the Transportation Specialist is to manage a high-performance logistics ecosystem by aligning external service provider performance with internal business goals, ensuring full regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and seamless collaboration across Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and other Supply Chain departments. You will be responsible for performance, weekly business reviews with the carrier, project execution for the respective countries, and cost control. Key responsibilities: Market Analysis: You monitor current market trends, analyze relevant market participants, and derive strategic recommendations for action. Operational Ownership: Own Last Mile and Carrier Return Cycle Time (TCT) and monitor cost-per-shipment for a specific country or region. Data-Driven Insights: Extract and analyze delivery data to create actionable reports that identify bottlenecks in the warehouse-to-customer workflow. Carrier Management: Act as the main Point of Contact (POC) for commercial carriers and logistic partners, managing daily execution and troubleshooting. Compliance: Ensure compliance with transport regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Performance Monitoring: Run Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) to ensure carriers meet delivery SLAs. Cost Control: You verify the accuracy of transport invoices, track discrepancies, and ensure robust cost control. Procurement Support: Execute local RFQs and rate negotiations for small contracts. Project Execution: Coordinate and execute roadmap projects within Transportation and/or SCM org, focusing on process improvements and carrier integration. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Technology, Operations, or the equivalent working experience. 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Logistics; experience in a fast-paced environment, e-commerce is a plus Operational Knowledge: Foundation in delivery logistics, specifically understanding the handover points between warehouse processes and local carrier networks. A data-driven approach, with the ability to extract valuable insights from complex datasets and create actionable reports. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to lead projects and resolve challenges across multiple teams. Experience supporting or coordinating small-scale roadmap projects Desired understanding of foundation in delivery logistics, specifically understanding the handover points between warehouse processes and local carrier networks. Business-level fluency in English and desired +1 EU language; additional languages are an asset. Other Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with a strong focus on Excel for data analysis and reporting. Ability to navigate with ambiguity.
