The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) has a perfect opportunity for you as a NSTRI Specialist!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position uses Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to manage and maintain roadway attributes and alignments for all public roads in the Non-State Trunk Road Inventory (NSTRI) database and provides expertise to the Department on jurisdictional issues.
Position location is negotiable and has the option to be remote.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge:

  • ArcGIS products;
  • principles and techniques of Geographic Information Systems;
  • standard terminology, techniques, and practices of database management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Sciences or a related degree, or experience using Geographic Information Systems and creating GIS products.
