Description The Transportation Supervisor would provide support to the Transportation Manager. The Transportation Supervisor oversees all driver and delivery activities. Foremost be responsible for Driver Safety and Operational efficiency. He/she will observe and analyze the overall efficiency of the department and ensure things are moving smoothly. They also report their findings to management, as needed. Responsibilities: Responsible for Driver Safety, incl. safety training, safety planning, incident reporting etc. ?Proactively evaluates and perform route visits and assessments. ?Evaluates customer support and problem solving to find solutions to customer issues. ?Responds positively to unpredictable situations or problems that can occur throughout their work responsibilities. ?Responsible for leading and supervising drivers, evaluating performance, and delivering feedback. ?Will set a motivational tone and establish a high degree of optimism focused on employees in the work environment ?Communicate with leasing companies for status of trucks and scheduling service. ?Interprets, trains, and consistently enforces company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc. Makes recommendations for corrective action and/or behavior modification where required. Assist with ordering shop supplies. Assist with driver reports for payroll purposes. ?Schedule pickups for CPF Drivers. Assist with all Transportation duties as assigned. ?Manage helpers timecard Compensation: $80,000 - 100,000 annually Requirements Job Requirements Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills ?3-5 years’ experience as a Supervisor, Transportation Industry preferred. ?Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, DOT rules and regulations. ?CDL preferred but not required. ?Ability to multi-task. ?Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. ?Must be a self-starter. ?Strong level of accountability. ?Essential to be detailed oriented. ?Upbeat and energized to complete tasks with a positive attitude. ?Must work well under pressure. ?Essential to learn and practice all safety procedures as safety is our highest value. ?Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook Software Skills. ?Occasionally exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions. ?May occasionally be required to travel to the other distribution center as business needs dictate (e.g. training, meetings).
