JOB TITLE: Transportation Supervisor (Must be 21 years of age or older) DEPARTMENT: Transportation REPORTS TO: Security Manager SALARY: Grade 20               Range Starts: $45,780.80/annually               Range Ends: $68,681.60/annually CLASSIFICATION: Exempt SUPERVISES: Valet Attendants, Cart Drivers, School Bus Drivers, and Bus Drivers                                             JOB SUMMARY: This team member is responsible for the daily smooth and safe operation of the transportation program and directs the operations of the Transportation department during an assigned shift.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES    The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:      1. Directs the work of Transportation Department team members during an assigned shift; including the responsibilities of planning, assigning, and directing work. 2. Responsible for coaching, rewarding, and evaluating team member performance. 3. Responsible for addressing positive corrective action as needed. 4. Responsible for addressing guest complaints and disputes, resolving problems, and other administrative requirements of the department. 5. Assists in developing, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.  6. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Resort & Casino’s policies and procedures. 7. Understands and implements all safety rules, emergency procedures, and established policies. 8. Assists in new projects, spreadsheets, and proposals as directed by Transportation Manager.  9. Completes monthly department reports. 10. Directs and supervises the work of Transportation Department team members and provides oversight for department operations during an assigned shift.  11. Creates weekly team member schedules, corrective action, verbal counseling, performance evaluations, and staff ride-a-longs. 12. Responds to guests’ questions, concerns or inquiries and deals with them in a timely fashion. 13. Trains new team members on carts and parking lot van. 14. Attends and participates in department meetings; may be required to conduct the meetings. 15. Attends all trainings needed in keeping all required credentials current and in compliance with being a commercial driver and school bus driver. 16. Drives all vehicle categories as needed. Fills in as a substitute driver for vacations, sickness, or as needed. 17. Conducts minor maintenance on carts. 18. Maintains CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid certification. 19. Recommends the hiring, termination, promotion, or any other change of team member employment status to the Transportation Manager.  20. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino. 21. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program. 22. All other duties assigned by the Security Manager.     EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS   The education requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, higher levels of education than required will be reflected during the recruitment process:   * A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is required.      EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS   The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:     * Must be 21 years of age or older. * A strong understanding of the principles and practices of team member supervision, along with a strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence, concurrent with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the Resort & Casino is required. * The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations is required. * Strong computer skills, concurrent with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and online accounting systems is required.   * Minimum of three (3) years’ experience driving a bus is required. * A current Class B, California Driver’s License with passenger endorsement and have minimum liability insurance is required. * Must adhere to all requirements for maintaining a Class B Driver’s License with passenger endorsement, as well as all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, including mandatory random drug testing administered by the DOT. * A clear DMV printout, DL-51 medical, and the ability to maintain the standard is required. * CPR and First Aid certification is required.                PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:    * Frequently sits, stands, walks, drives, and reaches below shoulder level. * Occasionally bends/stoops, climbs, reaches above shoulder level, kneels, and squats. * Occasionally lifts/carries up to fifty (50) pounds is required. * Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required.   WORKING CONDITIONS   The working conditions outlined here are representative of those that the team member will or may be exposed to while performing the functions of this job:   * While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to second-hand tobacco smoke. * While performing the duties of this job, the team member is usually subject to inside environmental conditions. * While performing the duties of this job, the team member may occasionally be subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.   OTHER INFORMATION   * Native American Preference Policy applies. * This individual must be able to meet the suitability requirements of the Redding Rancheria’s Gaming Agency to obtain a gaming license. * Win-River Resort & Casino is a drug-free workplace. * This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
