This breathtaking location offers stunning landscapes and unique wildlife, making it a true hidden gem in the Canadian Arctic. ---------------------------------------- ABOUT THE ROLE As a Transportation Roads and Grounds Supervisor (TRG Supervisor), you will play a crucial role in leading operations and ensuring safety and efficiency in transportation, roads, and grounds services. What You’ll Do: * Oversee transportation services, including personnel movement, supply transport, equipment handling, and breakdown recovery. * Supervise road and grounds maintenance, including Snow and Ice Control for the airfield and CFS Alert facilities. * Manage maintenance and service for all dynamic/static systems, building systems, heating, and water treatment facilities. * Maintain and submit operational plans, reports, and deliverables on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. * Select, supervise, train, and evaluate TR&G staff, fostering high productivity and optimizing capabilities. ---------------------------------------- REQUIREMENTS * Certification in vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance (aligned with current territorial/provincial regulations) and at least 1 year of field experience. * Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. * 5+ years of supervisory experience in vehicle maintenance, roads and grounds, and heavy equipment operations. * Ability to qualify for operator licenses specific to CFS Alert vehicles. * 10+ years of overall work experience. * Strong work ethic, ability to manage priorities, and excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills. * Must qualify for Reliability Status security clearance and pass a pre-employment medical exam. * Valid passport for overnight layovers in Thule, Greenland. * Cross-cultural adaptability and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER * Fly-In Fly-Out schedule with 8x8 rotations (8 weeks on-site, 8 weeks off-site). * Travel expenses paid from any location in Canada to the site. * 48-hour workweeks * 6% vacation pay included in each paycheck. * Employer-matching pension plan of up to 6% (for permanent employees). * Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, disability, and life insurance (for permanent employees). * Free private accommodations and meals while on-site. * Access to recreational facilities, including a gym, workout equipment, and hobby rooms. ---------------------------------------- OPPORTUNITIES FOR INUIT LAND CLAIM BENEFICIARIES Nasittuq is committed to supporting Inuit Land Claim Beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement.
