Description
SCHEDULE: M - F, 9:00am - 5:00pm with occasional early starts and some weekends for transfers to state hospitals and/or coverage of staff vacancies or PTO. JOB FUNCTION:  Provides transportation services for the consumer population while assuring for the safety of the consumer at all times and provides courier services as required by the Agency. Duties also include maintaining the Agency vehicles, filling out required paperwork (mileage form, safety form, etc.).  Maintain daily transportation coordination and transportation schedule sheet. Oversees and maintains monthly, quarterly and annual files pertaining to the transportation department as required by FDOT, MPO, CARF, DCF, DJJ and related Agency rules, policy and procedure. Supervises the scheduling of vehicles based upon program needs. Provides Agency driver training classes. Supervises transportation staff. Oversees and assists with the transport, portioning, and service of meals prepared by a community partner at their facility.  QUALIFICATIONS:   At least three (3) years of experience in the operation and/or maintenance of fleet vehicles with no at-fault accidents within the last 3 years. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and insurable driving record (as determined by our liability insurance). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Able to drive for prolonged times. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to perform Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) skills. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  Exposure to consumers and treatment program conditions, may sometimes work long and unusual hours.
