Description

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Education

Bachelors degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline preferred

  • Experience

2-5 years in transportation/logistics; at least 10 years in a supervisory role; familiarity with UAE operations is advantageous .

  • Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

Strong grasp of local transport regulations and compliance standards, alongside experience with transport or fleet-management tools/software

  • Licenses & Skills

Valid UAE driving license; fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus); proficient in MS Office and relevant transportation management systems (GPS, routing, Oracle, etc.)

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fleet & Operations Management

Oversee and schedule transport activities and resource allocation including route planning, vehicle utilization (e.g., containers, vans, buses), driver assignments, and idle-time monitoring

  • Supervisory & Coordination Duties

Manage, train, mentor, and supervise drivers and transport staff; coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to ensure operations align with SLAs

  • Compliance & Safety

Conduct safety inspections and ensure adherence to vehicle maintenance schedules and legal documentation (e.g., registration, insurance, driver licenses)

  • Administration & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of trip activity, fuel usage, maintenance logs, driver files, and incident reports; support billing and KPI reporting efforts

  • Cost & Performance Control

Monitor transport-related expenses (fuel, maintenance, overtime), analyze fleet productivity (actual vs planned), and recommend cost-saving measures

  • Continuous Improvement

Analyze operations to identify efficiencies, drive innovation in scheduling or routing, foster lean culture focused on performance and service excellence
