The Patient Transporter, will safely and efficiently transport patients to and from the Operating Room, PACU, and outpatient services while following strict safety and infection control protocols. How you’ll contribute A Transporter who excels in this role: * Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from the Operating Room (OR), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Outpatient Services. * Assist in operating room turnover by cleaning between cases, moving equipment, and restocking supplies. * Communicate effectively with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing staff to coordinate patient movement and room readiness. * Follow strict infection control, safety, and hospital protocols during all transport and room turnover activities. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, storage areas, and transport carts. * Support team workflow by anticipating needs and responding promptly to requests from OR staff. * Observe and report any patient concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel. What we’re looking for * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. * Previous CNA experience preferred but not required. * Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds and operate/move equipment and supplies safely. * Corrected vision and hearing within normal range; ability to reach overhead, sit, stand, or walk for extended periods. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and support staff. * Ability to remain calm, prioritize tasks, and perform effectively in fast-paced or stressful perioperative environments.
