Join Our Team as a Patient Transporter – Part-Time, Third Shift UPMC is looking for a dedicated Patient Transporter to join our team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional care. This part-time position works third shift (10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), including an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. What We’re Looking For: Prior healthcare experience preferred Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion in every interaction Strong attention to safety and detail Key Responsibilities: Safely transport patients and equipment between units and treatment areas Deliver supplies, equipment, and medications promptly and accurately, ensuring proper handoff to nursing staff Perform inspections and disinfect transportation equipment Accurately record transportation data in tracking systems Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor Why UPMC? Apply today and help us make a difference! Qualifications: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to successfully complete transport duties. Competence in operating transport equipment safely and effectively. May enter rooms where medications are stored or transport medications when accompanying patients. Medication transport is limited to movement between departments only. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required, based on AHA standards, including both didactic and skills demonstration components, within 30 days of hire.
