Escorts patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed for treatment, testing, admitting, discharge and intra-hospital transfers. Delivers on request specimens, patient charts and various other patient related materials to specified department or other hospital area. Ability to read, write follow written and oral instructions and perform general clerical functions related to the job. 2. No previous related experience required; one to four weeks on-the-job training. Responsibilities

The transporter is responsible for escorting and transporting patients within the hospital using stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds for various procedures, admissions, discharges, and transfers. Additionally, they deliver requested specimens, patient charts, and other patient-related materials to specified hospital areas.
