The role you’ll contribute: The RN Trauma Program Specialist supports the optimal outcome for injured patients by coordinating key elements of the Trauma Process Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program which include patient care coordination, improvement of clinical process through active participation in the evaluation of patient care and the development and refinement of trauma care guidelines, protocols and trauma education and training. Oversees and maintains all aspects of the trauma PIPS program consistent with accreditation, designation, and verification requirements. The value you’ll bring to the team: Coordinates key elements of the Trauma Process Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. Participates in multi-disciplinary patient rounds to ensure optimal outcomes for injured patients. Assists in developing and amending care plans to ensure appropriate treatment and return of patients to expected outcomes following any quality issues. Responds to trauma activations and assists with documentation, equipment, procedures, or other tasks within the scope of care. The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor’s in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) Required Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) Required or Cert Adv Trauma Nurse (CATN) Required
